Baby and Scrapbooking

So if you follow me on social media you know that I am crazy about scrapbooking and documenting literally every facet of Ceejy's life. It's perhaps an obsession! Anyhoo...I've had a few of you ask me what I do so I thought I would do a quick post on how I'm keeping track of Ceej's first year!

1. My main go to is our actual calendar that we hang right in the kitchen. This thing has been a life saver for jotting down quick notes about little milestones - days he got a tooth, days he said mama, when he rolled. I highly suggest something like this that you can jot down items in quickly. Whenever I go to fill out his actual baby book I always refer to the calendar for the dates! We have this one and I love it!

2. The next step for me is the baby book. I LOVE looking at both Chris and I's baby books to see when we did things, and look at old pics so I am vigilant about keeping up Casey's book. We received this one as a shower gift and I seriously just LOVE it!!

It contains a monthly recap with a spot for pictures, a tooth an immunization chart, information on the day they were born, spots for their hand and footprints, special vacations and holidays and my favorite - a spot for a note from both mommy and daddy.

3. Next is his good ole fashioned scrapbook. This might be my favorite because I can be creative and get tons of fun stickers and embellishments. I'm self admittedly not the best scrapbooker but I have fun doing it! And as part of my shower my guests made pages for months 1-12, 18 and 24 along with some Disney, Cayman and birthday pages so when I have added pictures to those pages it brings back fun memories!

4. Then I use shutterfly each year to create a huge book recapping the entire year. I did this pre-Ceej as well and would do ones specifically for large trips we took. I LOVE using Shutterfly and it seems like every year when I do our book it just keeps getting better! I had a ton of fun with this year's book and actually maxed it out at 111 pages!

My biggest word of advice on Shutterfly is never pay full price. Scour the net for coupon codes and if you can't find one wait a few days - and there will be one!

5. And last but not least...This Blog!! Thanks to my sweet friend Sarah (love you girl!) I plan to eventually print out and bind this blog for Ceej and any siblings we may be blessed to have so that they know my thoughts, fears, concerns, and path to have them. I love the idea of documenting their childhood years for them!

So that's it! Seems like a lot but I promise it's not - it's totally manageable and super fun! If you have any questions plesae don't hesitate to ask!! :)

XOXO
K
