14 Weeks and Roadtrip Part 2

So here we are - 14 weeks in! I still can't believe it. It honestly doesn't feel real still and I'm not sure that it really will until we actually feel the baby moving. Last time I left you we had made it from Chicago to Gas City, through the Kentucky bourbon trail, to the honky tonk scene in Nashville, through a quick night in Atlanta and through a tough few days in Savannah saying goodbye to Grandaddy. So that brings us to the trek back north! :) But first a few of my favorite pics from our camera of the first half of the trip!

We went from Savannah to Hilton Head for the night. We wanted stay on the beach and just have a quiet and peaceful night before starting the second half of the road trip. We had never been and really enjoyed it! Seemed like a pretty low key, nice Southern town. We took a nice long walk on the beach, of course found a local Mexican restaurant since it was Friday and played a round of mini golf!

Next up was Charleston - we have heard such great things about this city and we were not disappointed! We just loved it! Such cute, Southern charm, scary ghost stories and lots of gorgeous historical homes and plantations! We took a haunted jail tour and had some absolutely amazing meals. Charleston was by far our favorite stop along the way!

Our last stop was Asheville, NC. We had heard such great things about this city - and maybe we just didn't see the true Asheville, but we were a little disappointed. The colors and the drive along the Blue Ridge parkway were amazing, and the Biltmore estate was phenomenal but other than that we didn't see much to do. We did get some amazing fall color pics!!

We had an amazing time - it was great to be away from real life for two weeks and just be together. And it was crazy to think that this was our last vacation with just the two of us! on November 10, we will be together 13 years and have always been inseparable - I cannot wait to have a little mini-me or mini-Chris by our side - but I truly cherish each of these last few months that we have together! On that note I'll leave you with our Week 14 bump pic! Happy early Halloweenie everyone!
